TRANSNATIONAL MEETING 3 AYDIN/ TÜRKİYE
Third Mobility. October 25 - 29, 2021
Day 1 (October 25)
The first day of our Erasmus+ mobility in Turkey started at school where theguests were welcomed by the school principal, teachers and students whopresented their musical and vocal skills. Everyone was delighted with theirperformance. Then the students visited the 5-A, 6-B and 8 A classes duringtheir lessons. After that, the students from Turkey, Spain and Poland madeshort presentations about the educational systems in their countries.
Then everyone went for a walk through the streets of the charming city ofAydin. After spending time actively, everyone had lunch at school and tastedtradional Turkish food .The last point of the first-day program was the visit of teachers and students atthe Provincial Directorate of National Education. A commemorative photo wastaken at the end of the meeting.
Day 2 (October 26)
The second day was dedicated to visiting the surrounding towns: Ephesus, one of the 12 Ionian cities in Asia Minor, the House of Virgin Mary located above the ruins of Ephesus, and Sirince, asmall, pictures que village near the city of Selcuk. At the end of the tour, a culinary surprise awaited the participants: Gözlame - a pan snack, i.e. bread stuffed with spinach or potatoes, andAyran, a popular Turkish drink made of yogurt and water.
Day 3 (October 27)
The day started at school. The students from Turkey, Spain and Poland presented videos they had recorded, related to bullying in their countries and actions that can be taken to prevent it. Then, the students and teachers learned about the unique marbling technique that has beenused for centuries to decorate paper.Everyone had the opportunity to decoratea piece of paper using this technique under the supervision of a Turkish art teacher.
Day 4 (October 28)
The next day at school started with learning a Turkish song .Then, the participants went on a tour of the Aziz Sancar mathematics and science park. The next point on the mobility was going to Karacasu where participants could try Turkish Pizza/Pide.Later that day, the participants went toAphrodisias, a city in theruins of which once was themost important temple ofthe goddess Aphrodite.There are wonderful preserved remains of ancient buildings and a modern museum with interestingly presented exhibits.
Day 5 (October 29)
Friday was the last day of our stay in Turkey. It started at a school where we had the opportunity to participate in the celebration of the National Day. Then, all the participants went to a farewell lunch in acharming place where wehad the opportunity to try traditional Turkish dishes.After breakfast, it wastime to say goodbye. Itwas an amazing and fruitful mobility .
